Lap 1 Freediver - Intro Course

The Lap 1 Introductory (L1) Course is the first day of the 2-day Wave 1 Freediver course. This option allows you to upgrade if you enjoyed the first day and continue on your journey. This full day course includes theory, breathwork, equalization techniques, static breath-holds and depth diving. You will learn to hold your breath for 2 minutes and dive to -10/15 meters (-30/45 feet) on one breath!

Prerequisites

  • 18 years of age (16 with parental consent)

  • Comfortable in an open water setting

  • Able to swim/snorkel unassisted

  • Sign medical questionnaire and liability forms

  • ​Read our payment and cancellation policy​

  • No previous freediving experience required

  • Note: The Lap 1 (L1) course is the first day of the Wave 1 (W1) course. If you enjoyed it, you can upgrade to the full Wave 1 Freediver Course!

Commitment & Cost

  • 1 day (8am-5pm) of diving and experience

  • 4:1 maximum student to instructor ratio 

  • 150 $USD per person

  • Additional 30 $USD L1 certificate upon request

  • Payment options: Wise Transfer (Euro, USD), cash or credit card (additional fees apply)

Passing Requirements

  • 1:30min static breath-hold (confined water)

  • Open water dive in FIM (pulling line) to 10m

  • Comfortably swimming >200m in open water

  • Demonstrate safety and awareness in open water
